AI advisory and deployment

From audit to automation.

Assessment, automation, and secure deployment, led by someone who understands both infrastructure and risk — not a generic AI consultant.

Where most companies start

Before building anything, know what's already running.

Most leadership teams have no visibility into how their staff actually use artificial intelligence day to day, and no clear picture of whether their data, systems, and processes are actually ready for more. That's usually the right place to start — not the only place Volta can help.

Consumer tools

Employees paste confidential documents into ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot — without oversight or a clear policy, often without leadership even knowing.

No usage policy

No written rule defines which tools are allowed, what data may pass through them, or who is accountable if something goes wrong.

Manual, repeatable work

Time spent on document triage, email handling, and research that follows the same pattern every time — work that's usually automatable once it's actually looked at closely.

What we do

Six steps, from diagnosis to a system your team actually runs on.

A written AI usage policy and a team training session are included as standard throughout, not sold separately.

Step 1

Conversations with the team — not just leadership. What people actually do day to day, where AI could genuinely make it easier, and what they'd want from it.

Step 2

Readiness assessment — where the company actually stands, in data, systems, and process, before anything is built.

Step 3

Exposure audit — which AI tools are already in use, what data flows through them, and where the real risk sits today.

Step 4

Mapping the highest-value opportunities — the specific workflows worth automating first, ranked by actual impact, not novelty.

Step 5

Building it — workflow automation for a specific task, or a multi-step agentic system for teams ready to go further, tested before it runs unsupervised.

Step 6

Ongoing support as the team adopts it, folded into an 'IT Services' tier — or, for the highest confidentiality needs, 'VSAI', a sovereign appliance with no cloud dependency at all.

See IT Services pricing for ongoing support, or VSAI for the fully sovereign option.

Alexandre Ouaknine, founder of Volta

The founder

Security first. AI second. In that order.

Alexandre Ouaknine has been designing sovereign artificial intelligence systems since 2023 (Volta Sovereign), following thirty years spent protecting critical infrastructure: co-founder of DC3, the U.S. Department of Defense's cybercrime center, and infrastructure leadership for Fortune 500 companies. That combination — real security risk and real AI capability — is rare. Most AI consultants have built neither the infrastructure nor the systems they now advise on.

Common questions

Straight answers.

Do you advise, or do you actually build the systems?

Both. Volta can assess where AI makes sense, but the engagement does not have to end with a report. We design, build, integrate, test, and deploy AI systems around a specific business requirement. Where appropriate, we also remain involved after deployment.

Can you work with the systems and AI tools we already use?

Yes. The objective is not to replace everything a company already has. We first look at the existing environment, identify what is useful, what creates unnecessary risk, and where AI can be introduced without disrupting established systems.

What happens to our confidential data?

Data handling is part of the architecture, not an afterthought. We determine what information needs to leave the company's environment, what can remain internal, and what controls should govern access. For particularly sensitive workloads, AI can be deployed entirely on-premise.

Do you use our data to train AI models?

No. Volta does not require a client to surrender its data in order to implement an AI system. The architecture and deployment model are determined according to the client's confidentiality, security, and operational requirements.

Can you deploy AI without sending our data to the cloud?

Yes. For environments where cloud-based AI is inappropriate, Volta can deploy sovereign AI infrastructure on-premise. VSAI is designed specifically for this model: the AI runs on hardware under the client's control, without a dependency on external AI infrastructure.

How do you decide what should be automated?

We start with the work itself, not the technology. We look at what people actually do, how often they do it, how much time it consumes, where errors occur, what information is involved, and what the consequences of a bad decision would be. We then prioritize opportunities according to business value and risk — not because something happens to be fashionable in AI.

What do we actually receive at the end of an engagement?

That depends on the engagement. It can include an assessment and action plan, an AI usage policy, a security and exposure report, a working automation, an integrated AI system, or a fully deployed agentic system. Where a system is built, it is tested against defined requirements before being put into production.

Who actually works with us?

Alexandre Ouaknine, founder of Volta, works directly with clients. He brings thirty years of infrastructure and cybersecurity experience together with his work designing sovereign AI systems. There is no handoff to a junior consultant simply because the engagement has moved from strategy into implementation.

Will our team need to learn how to use the system?

Yes — but the objective is to make the system useful, not to turn your employees into AI engineers. Team training is included as part of the engagement, together with the operational guidance needed to use the system safely and effectively.

What happens after the system is deployed?

AI systems require ongoing attention as models, software, integrations, and business requirements change. Volta can provide continuing support through its IT Services offering, or maintain a more sovereign deployment where the environment requires it.

How do we know whether AI is actually worth doing for our company?

You don't need to know before speaking with us. The first conversation is about your business, your existing systems, and the problems you are trying to solve. If AI is not the right answer, we will say so. The objective is not to sell AI; it is to determine where it creates measurable value without introducing unacceptable risk.

Next step

Let's talk about where you'd start.
